The most budgetary option for pouring the foundation of a house is to do this process yourself. To speed up the execution of the main element in building a house, it is best to use a household concrete mixer that runs on 220V electric current and can produce from 50 to 200 liters of concrete mix in one batch. Without the help of such a unit, building concrete mixtures can also be kneaded manually, but this work is laborious and, moreover, will take much more time, and the quality of such concrete will be much lower.
The duration of one batch of a concrete mixer with a volume of 50 liters is about five minutes plus the time to prepare all the ingredients for the mortar and transport it to the pouring site. That is, the whole cycle will take no more than fifteen minutes with well-coordinated work, and the cube of the finished solution can be poured in five hours.
You can speed up the process if you think through the entire organization of work: you should place both the working unit and all materials close to each other in order to reduce delivery time. Buckets and shovels should be used separately for dry and wet ingredients to avoid wasting time removing adhering sand or cement.
It is imperative to compact the foundation by removing air bubbles, this can be done using a professional deep vibrator or in an amateur way using a piece of reinforcement, piercing concrete over the entire surface and depth with it.
